Jarrettsville 9/10 Girls Softball in Championship Game

During the 2016 Spring Tournament 9/10 Jarrettsville Dynamite came one out from possibly taking the championship. During a double-elimination tournament, the Dynamite were in the losers bracket after losing in the first round to a tough Fallston team. Against all odd they had to win every other game just to make it to the championship game. Under the leadership of Coach Dale and his coaching staff, the girls came together, played like a team to make it to the championship games.

The Dynamite ended up facing the same tough Fallston team in the finals but they had to win a double-header to bring home the gold. Coach Dale lead his girls to take the first game with a decisive win over Fallston forcing a double header, now both teams had each a single loss and the winner of this game would be the champions. The game was very tight even going into extra innings. In the extra inning the Dynamite were unable to score forcing them to hold Fallston in order to get another chance. With two out and a player on third, the game was decided by a play at home plate with a heart-breaking loss taking 2nd place.

Jarrettsville is so proud of our Dynamite and we hope to repeat our successes in 2017!
